How to Choose the Right Size
By comparing your head measurement with the size charts provided on the product pages, you ensure that the helmet is the correct size. The head measurement corresponds to the circumference of your head, starting just above the eyebrows and taking the longest possible path around the back of the head.
Here's how to adjust the helmet to your head – for a perfect fit
When you receive your hockey helmet, start by fully expanding it before placing it on your head. Do this by opening the clasps or flaps found on the helmet. For older models, you might need a screwdriver to open the helmet by loosening the screws. Note that the front edge of the helmet should sit just above your eyebrows when worn. From there, tighten the helmet so it sits securely without squeezing too tightly or causing discomfort.
New hockey helmets from CCM and Bauer can be easily adjusted to fit your head by manually opening the clasps/flaps provided – either on the side, top, or back of the helmet. By releasing these clasps, you can either compress or expand the helmet, depending on your desired adjustment.

1. Tacks 910 features buckles on the sides used to achieve a snugger and more personalized fit.
2. Tacks 720 is adjusted by opening the buckles on the side of the helmet.
3. Bauer Re-Akt 150 features the "FreeForm Adjustment System" to customize both the length and width for a personal fit. Adjust the length of the helmet using the buckle on top, and the width with the buckles on the side.
