The Prosharp Sharpening Guard protects the spikes on figure skates when sharpening them. Easily mounted around the spikes on the steel by screwing it on. The disc then grinds in the guard instead of on the spikes. AS machines have an additive that allows the machine to avoid sharpening away the spikes.
