Bringing an extra hockey stick or two is a smart choice, as there's always a risk they might break.
… is of course a must! If it’s time to get a new pair, we’re happy to help – here you’ll find our skate buying guide.
For complete hockey protection, you'll of course need a helmet, along with shoulder pads, gloves, hockey pants, a jock, and a neck guard.
In our hockey blog, you'll find guides on everything you need to know about hockey.
Skate steel & accessories
At a hockey camp, there's often an intense schedule with multiple ice sessions per day, which means the skates are used more than usual and can become dull, get nicks, or come loose. Be prepared with an extra, freshly sharpened pair to easily switch to when needed!
For the goalie, you'll need goalie leg pads, blocker, catcher, and goalie mask. Extra protection, spare gloves, or an extra catcher/blocker are also advantageous to have!
The small but important accessories, including towels (one for the face, one for drying equipment), tape scissors, hockey tape, and a water bottle, should be brought along. And of course – make sure to have a good backpack that fits everything.
Ensure you're prepared with plenty of changes of clothes, because it's going to get sweaty! 2–3 sets of base layers and hockey socks are a good idea.
